Some construction projects are impressive.
Others make you stop in your tracks.

At a recent project site in Nokomis, Florida, C Global helped bring to life an architectural centerpiece that pushes the limits of residential design—a 67-foot radius automated glass door system that is as breathtaking as it is complex.

This installation is now recognized as the second-largest radius residential automated door in the world and the largest in the United States. And while it looks effortless in operation, the engineering and precision behind it tell a far more remarkable story.

A 67-Foot Statement Piece

The door system spans an incredible 67-foot curved opening, forming a sweeping wall of glass that transforms the structure into something truly extraordinary.

The system is made up of twelve large glass panels, ten of which are motorized and glide along the curved track. Each panel weighs roughly 670 pounds, meaning the automation system is responsible for moving thousands of pounds of glass with smooth precision.

When activated, the panels move in perfect synchronization along the radius—five panels traveling to the left and five to the right—opening the structure to the outdoor Florida elements of sun, air, and landscape beyond the glass.

Watching the system move is something most people don’t forget.

A Collaboration of Precision

Projects of this magnitude don’t happen without the right team.

For this installation, C Global worked alongside A Team & Futuristic Glass Doors, the specialists responsible for the advanced curved glass door system itself. Their expertise in large-scale glass systems made it possible to bring such an ambitious design to life. In most instances, automation systems are installed because the door is so difficult to move. That is not the case here; in fact, this door moves so well that the automation system only utilizes 25-30% of its rated torque to operate the door.

C Global also partnered with A Team Inc., whose role in the installation was critical to the success of the project. Their team handled:

  • Precision sill pan welding
  • Door installation
  • Preparation of the sill using Prosoco’s FastFlash air and waterproof barrier system

This preparation ensures that even a system of this size remains protected from Florida’s demanding climate conditions.

Precision Engineering Behind the Scenes

Curved sliding doors are significantly more complex than traditional straight sliding systems. The forces, movement patterns, and weight distribution all behave differently when glass travels along a radius.

Because of this, C Global was involved early in the design phase, helping coordinate the structural and automation requirements needed for a system of this scale.

Custom components and engineered solutions were developed to guide the glass smoothly along the curved track while maintaining stability and reliability under the weight of the massive panels.

The result is a system that feels almost weightless in motion—even though thousands of pounds of glass are moving with every activation.

When Construction Becomes a Showpiece

At first glance, the finished system looks simple: a stunning curved wall of glass that glides open with the touch of a control.

But behind that simplicity is an extraordinary level of coordination between builders, engineers, glass specialists, and installation teams.

For C Global, projects like this represent the kind of work the company is known for—bringing craftsmanship, precision, and innovation together to create something truly unforgettable.

Because sometimes the most memorable feature of a project isn’t the walls, the finishes, or the architecture.

Sometimes…

It’s the door.
